Project engineer position opening at ECLIPS

You will be the engineer responsible for designing and fabricating innovative container solutions and logistics platforms that solve our clients’ problems. You’ll work across the defence, resources and renewable energy sectors, where your client base will be diverse and no two days will be the same.

Not many engineers actually get to see their projects come to life, but in this cradle-to-grave role, you’ll have the opportunity to travel globally as you take the lead in design, fabrication and launch phases of your projects.

We are looking for an engineer with 5+ years experience and a track record of working in design/engineering teams to deliver innovative and functional solutions. You will have a degree in either Structural or Mechanical Engineering and practical knowledge of relevant legislation, Australian Standards and government policy guidelines that govern safety in design. Ideally your 5+ years engineering experience will come from the defence, mining or manufacturing industries. You will be familiar and competent with Solidworks and ANSYS.

To fit in with our team you will have initiative, a high standard of interpersonal communication, proven leadership skills, a demonstrated track record of delivering tasks on time, good writing abilities and personal integrity. We are a small team with a flat management structure and pride ourselves on being inclusive: when the pressure is on, everyone pitches in to help.

Sea Box International relaunched as ECLIPS at its ten year anniversary event last Friday at the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra.

Over 100 guests attended and celebrated both the relaunch to ECLIPS and ten years trading as Sea Box International. The name changes reflects the company’s broadened scope since it first began trading in 2007. ECLIPS engineering goes beyond the box

ECLIPS, formerly Sea Box International, supplies modular products and engineering services across Australia and the world for a diverse range of uses. The company was established a decade ago, and now supplies to clients as diverse as defence, emergency and corrective services, and the resources sector.

Managing Director, Shaun Moore says a key reason for the name change from Sea Box International is to reflect the company’s broadened scope since it first began trading.
‘Early on, our focus was modifying shipping containers for field requirements,’ he says. ‘We now design and produce container-based platforms and modular solutions for far wider purposes and solutions.’

ECLIPS has developed a unique and smart Australian engineering capability that is export focused. ‘The solutions are innovative, cost effective and revolutionising the logistics industry, similar to the way containers did 60 years ago.’
